Bondi to Cogee

034

The day before I left for New Zealand I took the opportunity of a beautiful day to wonder to Bondi beach. A beach which lies approx 15 minutes by bus outside of Sydney.

It’s an absolutely beautiful beach, for being so close to the city. There was an exhibition along the costal walkway which was called ‘sculptures by the sea.’ I decided to relax out on the beach for a bit. Then I began the journey along the costal walk. Saw all of these crazy sculptures. I was especially digging this straw one that was plopped 046  into the ocean. The walk along the coast was definitely a scene I have never experienced. As the exhibition ended the walkway kept going and I was determined to make it all the way to Cogee Beach. There were all these small beaches, little inlets and pools along the way. Quite breathtaking views as well. It took me approximately 2 hours to complete the walk. I think its because I stopped so many times in the beginning to take pictures. It started getting cloudy upon arriving in Cogee. And just my luck the bus back to railway square was  patiently waiting for me, and as soon as I stepped on torrential downpours, all the way back to Sydney.

Got back to the hostel where they were having a “Barbie.” Kangaroo, hamburgers and veggie. I don't think I'm ready to eat kangaroo yet so I opted for the veggie burger. Had a foosball tournament, and then met some Americans from California (first ones I met all week). Left for New Zealand the next day, and I was so excited I couldn’t sleep.
